Elms Lesters in Flitcroft Street, London, looking towards a refurbished office block in New Oxford Street. Purpose built in 1904 as a scenic painting studio, the Elms Lesters Painting Rooms are part of London's theatrical heritage. Visitors have included Charlie Chaplin, Laurel and Hardy in the first half of the 20th century to Blur, Kylie Minogue, Mariah Carey, Diana Rigg, Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt of The Mighty Boosh, the cast of The League of Gentlemen, Pharrell Williams and N*E*R*D, Kings of Leon,and Hot Chip more recently. The expert painters produce scenic paintings 40ft by 50ft, under daylight from a 40ft wide glass roof.
